In the next week or two, I'll be listing my early 2008 (pre-unibody) MacBook Pro for sale online, but before I do so, I thought I'd reach out to my social media contacts for the "right of first refusal". A MacBook Air will soon be taking its place.
This MacBook Pro is essentially a new machine. Here are a few of the details:
- It will have the new operating system OS X Lion installed.
- The entire body, keyboard, CD/DVD SuperDrive, and the (glossy) LCD screen were replaced in April 2011.
- The logic board was replaced this month (July 2011).
- The battery was replaced in July 2009 and it still holds a charge very well.
- The RAM has been upped to 4GB from the original 2GB.
- It has a 200GB 7200 rpm hard drive.
This is a VERY good machine, and because of the upgrades and replacements, it essentially functions as brand new.
I paid $1900 for it in March 2008. I am asking only $850 for it now. Email me at jakebouma@gmail.com if you are interested or if you have any questions.
